WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

Military spouses are motivated to succeed, and desire careers for personal fulfillment and to better support their families’ financial goals. Statistics prove it: In 2008, the National Military Families Association (NMFA) released a study in which more than two-thirds (65%) of spouses indicated that they did not feel they had adequate access to affordable education and training programs to prepare for better paying jobs. In that same study, only 16% of respondents (military spouses) indicated that they would be able to continue their career when they relocated.

A 2008 study presented by the Association of Schools of Public Health projected a supply shortage of more than 250,000 workers in critical clinical occupations by the year 2020. This compounds ongoing concerns of The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), which projects nursing shortages at nearly 500,000 by the year 2025.
