TALENT EXCHANGE
The vision of the Talent Exchange is simple, as military families move around the country, Military to Medicine® helps to connect you to your next healthcare position. Getting the job always comes down to your experience and your interview, but Military to Medicine helps provide a referral and can advocate on your behalf. The first step in this process is for the credentialed healthcare professional to post his or her resume on our National Healthcare Career Network (NHCN). It is here where the Talent Exchange begins.
The NHCN is an initiative that brings more than 200 healthcare organizations together to provide job placement and advancement opportunities to reduce worker shortage challenges facing healthcare. In addition, the NHCN maintains a diverse candidate pool of more than 70,000 candidates (year-end 2010) who are current, active job seekers. Profiles not updated within a 12 month period are removed from the NHCN.
Military to Medicine serves as the primary channel for military "talent" entering the private healthcare workforce. We know how critical it is for employers to attract first-rate talent with a minimum of time and resources. And we understand the importance of helping Veterans and others from the extended military family make smooth career transitions. Our Employer Network members complete our vision for a national military health professional Talent Exchange. The Network Members have signed a statement of commitment to military families to provide career opportunity for someone new to healthcare and career continuity for qualified military family members who frequently relocate. Combined, the NHCN and Military to Medicine's Employer Network connect employers with available, qualified military talent.
An organization's participation in the Employer Network and the Talent Exchange strengthens the organization and supports our nation's military families at the same time. Military to Medicine takes pride in our commitment to support the transition of trained healthcare professionals from military to civilian life.
